Al Hoceima celebrated the reopening of the redesigned Plaza del Rif with two evenings of concerts on 26 and 27 June 2009.

The program featured local bands including Massinissa, Thaghrast, Esperanza, also known as Rayas, Syphax, and Tifyur. Their performances showed the growing confidence and musical development of the city’s groups.

Agraw’s team noted the performers’ ability to work with modest technical equipment and still deliver engaging sets. The concerts made the renewed square a meeting place for musicians and their audience, giving local creativity a visible public stage.
