Nabil Thwiza announced Adjun Fusion in July 2011, describing it as the result of three years of work. The eight-track album was presented as a new chapter in a sound that brings Izran into conversation with Gnawa, rock, and reggae.
The tracks highlighted in the original announcement included Thamja Thamizit, Layhanik, Awid Awid, and Ga3 Ga3. Together, they offered listeners an introduction to the album’s range.
The release was expected to reach the market in the week following the announcement. Agraw’s archive preserves the album artwork and the material shared at the time, recording the development of a musician working between tradition and contemporary band arrangements.
