Fatoum announced a new four-song CD in July 2009, bringing together Urar Inu, Lalla Tamurt, Asemmid, and Je Cours.

Urar Inu and Lalla Tamurt had appeared on an earlier demo. For the new release, they were rearranged with additional instruments, giving familiar material a different musical setting.

The announcement also listed a concert in Larache for 8 August 2009 and appearances planned in Al Hoceima, Tangier, and Casablanca during the summer.

The release formed part of Fatoum’s ongoing exploration of the relationship between her Rifian musical heritage and the different sounds encountered through her work. The artwork and recordings preserved with this article document that period.
