Khalid Izri was announced for the B-United Festival in Brussels on 21 July 2011, Belgium’s National Day.

Coordinated by Muziekpublique, the free festival distributed concerts across three districts: Neder-over-Heembeek, Laeken, and central Brussels. Its program brought different musical communities into neighborhood squares, with activities planned throughout the afternoon and evening.

Izri’s performance was scheduled for 19:00 at Place Anneessens as part of the “Africa Unite” stage. The same stage listed The Sanza at 17:00 and Aziz Sahmaoui & University of Gnawa at 21:00.

The event offered an opportunity for Amazigh music to take its place in the wider cultural life of Brussels, alongside artists whose work followed other routes across Africa and Europe.
