The Moroccan Association for Tamazight Culture and Society, MVTKS, announced a Yennayer 2961 celebration in Frankfurt on 22 January 2011, with Thidrin as a featured musical guest.
The program brought several forms of cultural expression together. Alongside the concert, it included comedy by Boussif, Izran, a live contribution from M’hamed Mira in Morocco, a book exhibition, and Moroccan food.
The event offered the local community a way to mark the Amazigh New Year through music, language, and conversation. Thidrin’s participation connected the Frankfurt gathering to the creative life of the Rif.
The accompanying archive material includes Kamal Afejjay, a songwriter, composer, singer, and one of Thidrin’s founders.
Preserved from Agraw’s cultural archive.
