Al Hoceima was preparing to welcome the fourth Nekor Mediterranean Theater Festival from 7 to 13 May 2012. Organized by Thifswin Association for Amazigh Theater and directed by Said Abernous, the edition placed international exchange at the center of its program.
The invitation extended to artists from different countries and cultural traditions, with the Mediterranean as a shared meeting place. For a festival rooted in Amazigh theater, this openness offered a way to bring local experience into conversation with work from elsewhere.
The announcement reflects the role that theater associations in Al Hoceima played in creating spaces for performance, collaboration, and cultural dialogue.
