Azraf Association announced a Khalid Izri concert in Bilbao for 14 January 2011 at 20:00, marking Yennayer 2961, the Amazigh New Year.
Supported by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the celebration formed part of Azraf’s work to promote Amazigh culture in the Basque Country. It offered a gathering place for the local community and an invitation to wider audiences to discover Amazigh music.
Izri’s participation connected the celebration to the musical life of the Rif and its diaspora. The evening was presented as an opportunity to welcome the new year through song and shared company.
